Dynamic load from the wind turbine.Tight Schedule, bearing surface for the tower had to reach 50mpa at 24 hours under cold weather conditions. -20’C Weather, with high winds, snow covered.
Using a High/Early strength epoxy grout allowed the contractor to quickly install the material and overcome design constraints. Due to the weather, contractor had tented the area, mixed and placed the grout in areas heated to over 30’C.
Masterflow 648 is resistant to creep, has a high compressive strength, modulous of elasticity, and excellent crack resistance. This gives the tower a better bearing surface for longer than the cementitious options.
